What an interesting day it turned out to be! 

You know, sometimes the calendar brings pleasant surprises. And today turned out to be quite eventful:

• French history reminds us of the storming of the Bastille — an important event that changed the course of history
• A personal celebration — my wonderful friend’s birthday. I would like to wish her that this year will be filled with joy, smiles, and pleasant surprises
• Postcrossing’s anniversary — a whole 20 years for a project that connects people through ordinary postcards. In the age of digital technology, this is especially valuable

It turns out that one day can be historical, personal, and global all at once. Isn’t that great when that happens?
